“Just got back from a long weekend in the mountains celebrating my birthday and had the most wonderful time. The house is absolutely amazing. There were 16 of us and we could have easily fit more. I loved the hot tub and downstairs area. Also, Sara and Brian were wonderful hosts. They answered all of my annoying questions almost immediately. 🙂 Will definitely make this a yearly trip! Only thing I would have changed is the fireplace and outdoor heater did not work. Everything else was very new and worked perfectly. Thanks for the great time!”

“First of all, Sara and Brian were the best hosts, both leading up to and during our stay. Sara was quick to answer any and all questions in the weeks leading up to our arrival. Once we were there, Brian helped us set up the smoker that we had arranged to rent, and he dropped off some goodies on our first morning. A wonderful couple and a joy to work with. Second, the house is fantastic. We had a big group (15) and everyone had a blast and was very impressed with the accommodations. Everything is in great condition, the master suite is stunning, and the hot tub on the back porch was a lot of fun at night. It’s clear the owners take particularly good care of the home. “September 26, 2015. We had an awesome 4 day stay for family which included friends on Saturday for our wedding reception. Plenty of room for our overnight guests, and plenty of room for those additional that just came to share and celebrate our wedding at a local church and reception here at Grand Pine Lodge. Overall relatively clean, and all the amenities you could want and then some. Hosts were very friendly and timely in response to our questions and any concerns we had. “We got snowed in lodge for a full 24+ hours and loved it! Thanks to Sara the owner responding quickly to me for us to check in and extend our stay a day early before snow moved in. Great family time together cooking, playing games , and hanging out by the living room fireplace watching the snow come down for my birthday. We look forward to our next stay at the lodge for JMU graduation weekend!”

“We came for college reunion and birthday celebration. Home worked out well for our group. The two best things were the VERY long table so we could all sit and eat together and the big sofas in living room so we could ALL sit and chat together. This may seem trivial but it is very difficult to find from what we have seen and rented. Kitchen is well stocked with most any item you would need to serve a home cooked meal.”
